What is an EPC?

What is an EPC?

An EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) is required whenever a property is built, sold or rented out. You should have an EPC available when you market your property so that prospective buyers and tenants get an idea of running costs of your property. An EPC is valid for 10 years after which it would need to be reassessed.
To obtain an EPC you need to use an accredited assessor, such as Olney EPC

What can I do if my property has a poor rating?

You don’t have to do anything but a poor rating might affect your ability to sell or rent your property. As part of our service we will highlight areas where you can make changes to your property to improve the EPC score if you wish to.
Although there are a few exceptions it’s a legal requirement to have an EPC on any property if you are intending to sell or rent it out.
